IN THE FIELD: STATE EXAMPLES

HOW TO USE THIS SECTION

This section highlights examples from states that have shown a commitment to systematically improving the process of using data to improve student learning.  Click on the tabs to view the participating organizations within each state, an outline and brief description of how the project began and the approach used, and resources to help you think about how you might implement a similar approach to building data use capacity within your organization.

This section will be particularly helpful to:

  • Regional Comprehensive Centers (RCCs) who want to share concrete examples of different approaches other states have used to increase the use of data to inform educational decisions.
  • District-level administrators interested in partnering with an Institute of Higher Education (IHE) to provide ongoing professional development for educators in their district.
  • Schools and individuals can use the references and resources presented in the state examples as a way to deepen understanding of data use.
